Overview
Having a diverse practice makes MaryJane Dobbs a better attorney. Many clients have questions and issues that transverse a variety of areas of law and need a professional who understands the complexities of today’s multi-faceted legal spectrum.
MaryJane focuses her practice in three major areas: personal injury defense, employment litigation and counseling and family law. She also handles general commercial litigation matters.
MaryJane started practicing law at a large firm that emphasized the development of litigation skills and advocacy that transgress all areas of law. Through the years, MaryJane honed her litigation skills by representing common carriers and other companies in their personal injury cases, commercial disputes, criminal cases and employment matters. Today, MaryJane handles all areas of employment issues for a variety of clients including employment agreements, wage and hour compliance, harassment training and severance matters.
In addition to her employment practice, MaryJane handles personal injury cases and commercial litigation for transportation companies and other entities. These matters range from multi-million dollar litigations involving an array of complicated evidential and legal issues, to less complex matters warranting speedy resolution. MaryJane has tremendous experience working with a panoply of experts and mediators. She prides herself in handling cases in a result oriented fashion with a client based focus.
Family law is a passion MaryJane developed long ago that arose from her representation of clients in commercial disputes. Understanding employment and financial issues that affect clients and families is vital to family law practitioners. Over the years, MaryJane focused her practice on custody and parenting time issues. Today, MaryJane handles all areas of family law from counseling through appeals.
