The law firm Bressler, Amery & Ross announced today that Susan George, a senior associate in the firm’s New York office, has been elected to the board of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.
NYLPI is a non-profit community-driven civil rights organization located in New York City, which advocates for equal access to healthcare, education, government services, housing and a clean environment through direct representation and impact litigation.
“We are very proud that Susan has been elected to the Board of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest,” said Bressler New York office Managing Principal Andrew Sidman. “Her passion for pro bono work and her new role with NYLPI are indicative of the firm’s commitment to public service and investment in our local communities.”
Ms. George is a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation and Regulation Practice Group, focusing on regulatory defense and securities arbitration. In addition to her securities practice, her pro bono work includes advocating on behalf of military veterans and their families.
Bressler was recently honored with the “Partners in Justice” award by the Partners For Women and Justice organization for providing legal representation to low-income victims of domestic violence.
