Lauren Valdivia, sitting first-chair, with co-trial counsel, Michael Hensley, won a jury trial lasting six days in Middlesex County, New Jersey on December 9, 2019. Lauren and Michael represented a defendant corporation in an age discrimination case where Plaintiff, who was employed by the defendant, claimed that she was terminated on the basis of her age in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. Plaintiff served an expert report from an economist, seeking in excess of $6M in economic damages. Plaintiff further sought damages for emotional distress.
