New Jersey Extends the Enrollment Period for "Get Covered NJ" to October 31, 2024

With issuance of Bulletin No. 24-12, the New Jersey Department of Banking & Insurance has extended the time for enrollment in the state insurance exchange, “Get Covered New Jersey” through October 31, 2024.  This extension further extends the original 60-day Special Enrollment Period to determine eligibility and now provides a broader opportunity for eligible residents to enroll in individual health market coverage. Enrollees during this Special Enrollment Period would maintain coverage for the remainder of 2024. Prompt notice to carriers and health plans will now afford them an opportunity to make operational and programmatic changes to implement the extension.
