Florham Park, N.J. – June 8, 2015 – The law firm of Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. announced today that Thomas L. Weisenbeck, former Assignment Judge for the Morris/Sussex Vicinage of the Superior Court, has returned to the firm as Of Counsel.

Mr. Weisenbeck will focus on mediation, arbitration, and special master services, as well as providing litigation counsel to the firm’s clients.  He will be based in Florham Park, NJ.

His distinguished career includes serving as a federal prosecutor and working over twenty years in private practice, focusing on commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Richard Codey in 2005.

Prior to joining the bench, Weisenbeck was a partner with the firm and before that with the former Hannoch Weisman law firm. He was an assistant United States Attorney from 1982 to 1985. In 1977, he joined the U.S. Department of Justice as a trial attorney. He received several awards for his government service.

His previous experience at the firm includes representing the late pop superstar Whitney Houston and her management company. As Assignment Judge, Weisenbeck juggled multiple tasks that included courthouse security, judicial assignments and employee discipline, as well as hearing land use, municipal law and probate matters.

Mr. Weisenbeck received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and his B.S. from the University of New Hampshire. He served as a law clerk to Judge Robert Muir, Jr. when Judge Muir was assigned to the General Equity Division.
