Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotions of David J. Butler, MaryJane Dobbs, Keith P. McManus and Charles W. Stotter to principal and Benjamin J. DiLorenzo and Dennis E. Kadian to counsel. The promotions are effective January 1, 2016.
David Butler joined the firm in April 2006. His practice is primarily devoted to securities litigation, securities arbitration and securities enforcement proceedings. He represents financial institutions and their employees in diverse matters before state and federal courts and self-regulatory industry organizations. David earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 and his B.A. from Seton Hall University in 1995. MaryJane Dobbs joined the firm in December 2013. She handles all areas of employment issues including employment agreements, wage and hour compliance, harassment training and severance matters. MaryJane also handles personal injury cases and commercial litigation for transportation companies and other entities. She is an active member of the Defense Research Institute and serves as the Vice Chair of the Trucking Committee. MaryJane earned her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, Newark in 1989 and her B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Dayton in 1986. Keith McManus joined the firm in June 2010 in the Environmental Law practice group. He concentrates on environmental litigation, Superfund matters, and environmental regulatory compliance. Keith represents clients in complex federal and state cost recovery matters, drafts environmental provisions for contracts and professional services agreements, and advises clients regarding all aspects of site remediation. Keith also has extensive experience advising clients on complex environmental and general liability insurance issues.

Charles W. Stotter joined the firm in March 2011. Charles’s practice runs the gamut of complex insurance coverage litigation, securities and shareholder derivative litigation, commercial litigation, professional negligence and employment litigation, and shareholder/partnership disputes. He currently focuses his practice on representing the nation’s largest insurers in complex coverage litigation and counseling. Charles has represented public companies and their officers and directors in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation, and has represented accountants and accounting firms in litigation, enforcement and related proceedings. Earlier, Charles was with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (F.D.I.C.), where he managed professional liability litigation in the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania region. For many years Charles served as an officer and on the board of a local community organization, and currently serves as an Editor of the American Bar Association-Section of Litigation’s Commercial and Business Litigation Committee Newsletter, and as an Editor of that Committee’s website content. Charles earned his J.D. from Buffalo Law School in 1977 and his B.A., with honors, from Harpur College, State University of New York, in 1974. Benjamin DiLorenzo joined the firm in July 2004. He is an experienced commercial litigation attorney practicing primarily in the firm’s Professional Liability and Insurance Law groups. He represents a broad range of licensed professionals, including attorneys, insurance producers, and financial professionals, through all stages of litigation and the appellate process, in federal and state courts. He has been involved in all aspects of insurance coverage issues related to mass tort and environmental liabilities. Benjamin is experienced in litigation, investigation, and advising clients in relation to coverage for first-party property claims for fire and other casualty losses against both commercial and personal insurance policies. Benjamin has been recognized on the New Jersey Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" List since 2012. Benjamin earned his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2002 and his B.A. from Muhlenberg College in 1999. Dennis Kadian joined the firm in August 2006. He is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Premium and Collection Litigation groups. His experience in commercial litigation, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, and breach of fiduciary duty, provides a strong base for his practice which encompasses insurance premium litigation, construction law and workers compensation. He regularly represents insurance carriers and third party administrators on complex matters involving loss-sensitive insurance programs. Dennis earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2003 and his B.S. from Creighton University in 1990.
