HOUSTON (March 2022) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that Texas Counsel Charles A. Hammaker has been appointed to the Galveston County Water Control & Improvement District No. 12 Board of Directors.
Hammaker's term officially began on February 14, 2022, and will last for two years. In his role, Hammaker will help to oversee the management of the district's water supply, construction projects, financing, and legal right-of-ways. Galveston County Water Control & Improvement District No. 12 is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created by order of the Texas Board of Water Engineers, a predecessor to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, in June 1951.
Within Bressler, Hammaker holds the position of Counsel in firms' Financial Institutions, Business & Commercial litigation, and Labor & Employment practices. He has substantial experience in both federal and state courts in the areas of commercial litigation, personal injury defense, products liability litigation, collection matters, construction litigation, toxic tort and environmental litigation, probate litigation, property disputes, antitrust litigation, and FINRA arbitrations. Hammaker has handled numerous cases in various types of litigation for national and international clients, including clients in the refrigeration industry, plastics manufacturing industry, oil, and gas industry, printing press manufacturing industry, dry-cleaning industry, transportation industry, and financial industry.
