With great sadness Bressler, Amery & Ross announces the loss of our partner and friend, Ronnie Ann Powell, who died on June 18, 2015. Ronnie was loved by many and respected by all. She chaired Bressler’s Trusts and Estates practice group and served on the firm’s Executive Committee.
Ronnie was recognized as one of New Jersey’s top trusts and estates attorneys. She had more than three decades of experience in all aspects of a trusts and estates law practice, including estate planning, administration and litigation. She was dedicated to working closely and personally with each of her clients, showing caring and compassion for helping others.
Ronnie cherished her role as a partner, educator and mentor and believed wholeheartedly in serving the communities in which she lived and worked. A long-time resident of Montclair, she served as a Commissioner of the Township of Montclair Parking Authority and as a Board Member of the Montclair Center Business Improvement Center. Ronnie was recognized for her pro bono work with low-income and abused women in need of legal advice, having received the “Partners in Hope Award” by Partners for Women and Justice, a not-for-profit organization based in Montclair.
We extend our deepest sympathies to her entire family. She will be sorely missed by all of her colleagues at Bressler.
