Two principals and one of counsel join the firm, along with three staff members, establishing the firm’s presence in Oklahoma.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 21, 2025) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of a six-member team, furthering the firm’s recent growth in the Southwest and establishing a new presence in Oklahoma. This expansion enhances the firm's capabilities in financial institution and securities litigation, complex litigation, regulatory and enforcement matters, as well as compliance consulting. The new office will be managed by experienced financial institution and securities litigator Tara A. LaClair. The Oklahoma City team also brings expertise in healthcare law, tribal and Indian law matters, class action defense, and insurance defense.
This new office aligns with the firm’s expansion efforts in the Southwest and across the country. The new presence in Oklahoma City is part of the firm’s growth strategy, which also included a recently expanded Austin office with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, venture capital, and fund formation, along with new attorneys in the firm's well-established offices in New Jersey and Florida.
The team, which consists of LaClair, Jennifer N. Lamirand, Bruce W. Day, and three support staff, will bolster the firm’s already strong Financial Institutions and Litigation practice teams. The group also brings a roster of clients who are national broker-dealers and registered representatives in the financial services industry and is focused on securities arbitration and broker-dealer litigation complementing Bressler’s existing client base.

The new attorney additions consist of:
Tara A. LaClair joins the firm as a principal. Tara is a trial lawyer, focusing her practice on financial services and securities litigation, representing banks, brokerage firms, registered investment advisors, insurance companies, trust companies, securities agents, and individuals in arbitration and court proceedings, regulatory actions and employment proceedings. Tara also handles complex and general litigation, representing insurance companies in bad faith litigation and claims litigation, as well as representing trust companies and fiduciaries. She is licensed in Oklahoma, California, and Michigan and earned her law degree from Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law and her LL.M. in Securities and Financial Institution Regulation from the preeminent program at Georgetown University Law Center.
Jennifer N. Lamirand joins the firm as a principal and focuses her practice on litigation in the areas of tribal law, federal Indian law and gaming, securities, contracts and insurance defense. She has represented a range of clients including tribal governments and officials, national and international financial institutions, insurance companies, local businesses and individuals in a diverse range of litigation. She is a citizen of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and serves as an Associate Justice on the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Supreme Court. Active in the community, Lamirand volunteers and provides pro bono services for Oklahoma Indian Legal Services and Public Counsel of Los Angeles. She serves on the Board of Directors for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park and Oklahoma Alumni & Associates of Family, Career and Communities Leaders of America. She is licensed in Oklahoma and California and earned her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University, law degree from Notre Dame Law School and LL.M. from London School of Economics and Political Science.
Bruce Day has a national practice in securities and health care litigation, as well as public policy matters. In his securities practice, he has represented some of the nation’s largest securities firms, as well as regional and local firms, individual securities agents, and investment advisors. He also represents health care professionals in Medicare billing and Medicare False Claims matters. Bruce also works closely with the firm’s Labor & Employment and Energy & Natural Resources departments. He has represented clients in employment disputes and private and public offerings/financing of oil and gas ventures. As a result of his public policy and education reform efforts, he has represented charter schools and led other public education reform efforts.
