Florham Park, NJ (November 6, 2020) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is pleased to congratulate complex commercial litigator, Diana Manning, on her selection for the New Jersey Law Journal's Top Women in Law honors for 2020. Manning is a principal of Bressler, Amery & Ross, a member of the multi-state firm’s Executive Committee, Chair of the Bressler Women’s Initiative, head of the firm’s Appellate practice, and co-chair of the Business and Commercial Litigation Practice.
In addition to being active at the firm, Manning is deeply involved in the legal community as a Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and Vice President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association. She is a past president of Trial Lawyers of New Jersey, a past president of the Morris County Bar Association, and past chair of the District XA Ethics Committee.
“Diana has earned the recognition received from the New Jersey Law Journal because she is known for advocating on behalf of the legal profession. She serves as chair of the Amicus Committee for the New Jersey State Bar Association, which has given her the opportunity to successfully argue several times before the New Jersey Supreme Court on issues with broad impact to the profession.” said Frank Cuccio, Firm Managing Principal. “She is a true leader, an inspiration, an important voice on our executive committee, and a valued member of the Bressler family.”
In 2018, Manning was recognized in the NJBIZ Vanguard Series: Leaders in Law. NJBIZ selected local attorneys who stood out for their roles in important cases or were instrumental in giving back to their profession by providing opportunities for other lawyers to get to the next level in their careers. She also became a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Selection as a Fellow recognizes lawyers whose careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of society. Fellows are nominated by their peers and membership is limited to one percent of licensed U.S. lawyers and a limited number of international lawyers.
Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, Manning is an accomplished litigator and appellate advocate. In civil litigation, where women are still a small percentage of ‘first chairs,’ she is known and respected as a zealous advocate, taking a second seat to none. As a result of often being the only woman in the room, Manning is committed to gender parity and Diversity & Inclusion in the practice of law, which has driven many of her activities.
