Manning was included in ROI-NJ’s Influencers Power List 2025 in the category of Law. This honor marks the fourth consecutive year Manning has been recognized on the list by ROI-NJ.
The ROI-NJ Power List honors influential lawyers in New Jersey who significantly impact business issues, transactions, and the management of law firms. Manning’s recognition reflects her status as a thought leader within the legal community on areas of legal ethics and compliance, professional responsibility, and complex commercial litigation. Manning leverages her extensive experience and far-reaching network to service an array of professionals, including as outside general counsel to legal departments and corporations across the country, as well as counseling law firms and attorneys on issues involving all aspects of ethics and professional responsibility. She is a top litigator who made a name for herself within Bressler, the legal community, and New Jersey through more than three decades of strategic, thoughtful, and fearless advocacy for her clients while helping to pave the way for women to advance in the legal profession.
Manning previously served as Bressler's first female firm managing principal and recently transitioned to serve as a member its five-person management committee. She leads the firm’s appellate, business and commercial litigation, legal ethics and compliance practice groups. Manning is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. Manning is slated to become the President of the New Jersey State Bar Association, which is the state's largest professional organization for judges, lawyers, and legal professionals, in 2028 and currently serves as its Treasurer. She is a member of the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, having been appointed to the position by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She is the former Chair of the District XA Ethics Committee and served for a decade as a member of the Committee. She is Past President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, the Morris County Bar Association, and the Morris County Bar Foundation.
Manning is regarded for her extensive involvement in presenting and writing about business litigation, legal ethics, products liability, and professional liability. Notably, she authored the New Jersey chapter of "The Law of Lawyer’s Liability: Fifty-State Survey of Legal Malpractice." She is an experienced appellate practitioner, having appeared before the state Supreme Court in six cases, including four arguments, and serving as amicus curiae in several other cases.
In 2024, Manning was honored by her alma mater, Rutgers University Law School, as a Distinguished Alumni. She was selected to the 2024 NJBIZ Law Power 50 List for the fourth year in a row. Manning is a recipient of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey Trial Bar Award, Essex County Bar Association Civil Practice Award, and Morris County Bar Association Civil Practice Award. She is included among the Best Lawyers in America®, Super Lawyers® Top 100 and Top 50 Lawyers in New Jersey. Admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York, Manning graduated from Rutgers University School of Law and Rutgers College.
