Alabama Principal Stephen Brown was quoted in a Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ) article, From vaccine mandates to the ADA, here are tips for avoiding legal headaches when reopening, written by Dan Bagwell.
When asked what legal considerations businesses should keep in mind when preparing to re-open offices, Stephen replied, "Continued safety protocols and enforcement in the workplace, what to do (regarding) employees who want to continue to work from home (I think this is going to be a bigger problem than many expect), whether to require vaccinations before returning to work and ADA issues that affect all this. Also, the extent to which the last year’s experience has now made remote work a more reasonable accommodation generally under the ADA.”
