Experience
Jessica Aldeguer began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, she gained valuable courtroom and trial experience, handling hundreds of cases at every stage of litigation within the Domestic Violence Division and the Misdemeanor Division. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, she went on to represent major financial institutions in creditor foreclosure disputes. While in this role, she handled all aspects of foreclosure litigation, from inception to trial and property sale. Due to the nature of her cases and the lawsuits she handled all throughout the state, she personally appeared in every Circuit Court within the state of Florida. In addition to handling foreclosure actions on behalf of the plaintiff institutions, she also represented financial institutions with subordinate mortgage interests in the defense of foreclosure disputes brought by first mortgages and homeowner’s associations. She was promoted to Managing Attorney of the Subordinate Mortgage Department and was the designated Attorney to handle all hearings in Miami Dade County on behalf of the firm including foreclosure sale hearings, motion calendar, special set hearings, dispositive motions, and non-jury trials. After the passage of Hurricane Irma forced a mandatory stay on all foreclosure litigation for an indefinite period of time, Jessica went on to practice insurance defense, representing multiple insurance carriers in personal injury protection actions and first party property actions. She has assisted insurance carriers with pre-litigation investigation including taking examinations under oath, coverage analysis and recommendations, and preparation of responses to civil remedy notices and notices of intent to initiate litigation. She has also handled every aspect of litigation from the start of litigation through resolution. She delivers strategic legal counsel and effective representation to clients with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes through meticulous preparation and persuasive advocacy.
