Overview

Kalie Maniglia is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. A member of Bressler’s Financial Institutions, Employment, and Business and Commercial Litigation groups, Kalie’s practice covers a broad range of litigation and arbitration matters.

A passionate litigator, Kalie has experience handling cases from inception through discovery and trial. She represents clients in state and federal court litigation and in arbitrations involving a variety of civil claims alleging common law and statutory causes of action. Kalie has experience with commercial and employment matters such as claims for injunctive relief, wrongful termination, defamation, breach of contract, and tortious interference. Kalie also defends financial institutions and their employees in claims brought by customers and customer representatives concerning suitability, supervision, unauthorized transactions, negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, violation of state and federal securities laws and regulations, and many other claims. Additionally, she has experience handling pre-litigation complaint investigation and resolution.

Kalie is also a member of Bressler's Senior and Vulnerable Investor Group. The lawyers in this group have a shared interest in providing counsel to corporate clients who confront issues affecting seniors.

Kalie is an alumni of Bressler’s summer associate program. Before joining Bressler, Kalie was a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Donald M. Middlebrooks at the United States District Court in the Southern District of Florida, and served as a Law Clerk to the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Florida. She has prior experience handling civil litigation, small claims, and mediation matters at the Tallahassee City Attorney’s Office.

Kalie received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude and received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award. During law school, Kalie was Executive Editor for the Business Review and Writing & Research Editor for the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. She was also a member of the Moot Court and Mock Trial advocacy teams and earned Book Awards in White Collar Crime and Trial Practice. Kalie received her B.A. in Political Science and Economics, cum laude, with minors in Spanish and Communication Studies from the University of Florida Honors College in 2019.
