Overview

Lisa Larmond is an Associate in the firm's Insurance Defense practice group, where she represents insurance carriers in matters related to First Party Property Insurance Defense. Before joining Bressler, Lisa garnered expansive first party property litigation experience in her role as Associate General Counsel for a national property and casualty insurance company, as well as counsel in a well-regarded defense firm in the south Florida area. This followed an extensive career in the public sector where she channeled her passion for social justice through work as a managing attorney in the Domestic Violence Program Office of the Department of Children and Families, a supervising attorney for Women in Distress of Broward County, and a senior attorney for the Statewide Guardian Ad Litem Office, wherein she practiced Family Law, Juvenile Dependency Law, and Interpersonal Violence Law.

Lisa received her bachelor's in Political Studies from Florida State University. Not long after, she returned to campus to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the Florida State University College of Law. While attending law school, Lisa gained legal experience as a Research Assistant to the Dean, researching and presenting cases for consideration and selection for his textbook on Partnership Law. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Agency for Healthcare Administration; an experience that included investigating overpayments made to Medicaid providers with successful recoupment through her representation.
