Job title: Firm managing principal.

Practice area: Business litigation, appellate practice and ethics counseling and compliance advice.

Law school and year of graduation: Rutgers School of Law-Newark, New Jersey, 1993.

How long were you at the firm before being promoted to your current position? I became the firm managing principal in April 2021. I had been at the firm for over 21 years.

Did you work at another firm before joining your present firm? I started my career at Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann & Knopf and stayed there for five years. I then worked at a firm in New York City for about a year before having the opportunity to join Bressler.

What are your key responsibilities and what unique challenges do you face as it relates to your role? As firm managing principal, I am responsible for protecting and maintaining the firm’s culture, working with the executive committee to set and implement the firm’s strategic vision, implementing strategies to improve firm performance and profitability, working closely with the firm’s executive director on issues related to day-to-day operations, as well as representing and speaking on behalf of the firm.

Taking on the role during a pandemic has added to the challenges inherent in the position. Like every other business, we are grappling with the ever-changing guidance, return-to-work policies and everyone’s overarching desire to return to some sort of normalcy.
