The recent addition includes a litigator who is joining his father, a nationally recognized high-profile trial lawyer, in the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice.

 Florham Park, NJ (August 5, 2024)  – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is excited to announce the addition of attorneys Kenneth R. Cohen, Daniel J. Tyrrell, and Nathania Reyes to the Florham Park office. These attorneys strengthen the firm’s Tax, Trust and Estates and Commercial Litigation practice groups with their vast experience and expertise.

Bressler’s leadership and Management Committee is focused on strategic growth, enhancing client services, and expanding its team of skilled attorneys. The firm previously welcomed five attorneys in New Jersey and five more attorneys in Florida, Texas, and Alabama. These recent additions demonstrate Bressler’s expansion and the firm’s commitment to meeting clients’ evolving needs.

Frederick Schoenbrodt, II, Management Committee Chair and Managing Principal of the New Jersey Office, expressed his excitement about the recent additions. He said, "Daniel's high-caliber litigation skills and Ken's expertise in tax controversy, asset protection, and income tax are not just additions, but catalysts for our future growth. Their skills are well-aligned with our current offerings and will play a significant role in our organizational and service expansion."

 Kenneth R. Cohen joins the firm as Principal in the Tax and Trust and Estates practice groups. Cohen has extensive experience in Federal and State taxation and on matters including asset protection, tax controversy, business law, income tax, and estate planning and administration, adding a new dimension to the firm’s services. Cohen serves as a part-time faculty member in the Rutgers Law School where he teaches Federal Income Taxation. Active in the legal community, he is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey and has hosted the annual Asset Protection Seminar on behalf of the NJ Institute of Continuing Legal Education since 2013. Cohen graduated from Rutgers College with a bachelor's degree in economics, received his law degree from Rutgers Law School and has a master’s degree in taxation from New York University Law School.

Nathania Reyes joins the firm as an Associate in the Business and Commercial Litigation and Trust and Estate practice groups. Her experience includes representing corporate clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, national banks, insurance companies, and financial services companies in complex litigation in both state and federal court. Reyes serves as the recording secretary on the executive committee of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey and is an active member in various bar associations. Reyes, through her participation and leadership roles in varying associations, has led efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the legal community. She earned her B.A. from Drew University and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law.

Daniel J. Tyrrell joins the firm as Counsel in the Commercial Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on the defense of individuals and companies in white collar criminal investigations, governmental and regulatory inquiries, internal corporate investigations, and complex civil litigation in Federal and State courts. Previously, he served as an Assistant District Attorney with the New York County District Attorney’s Office where he acted as the lead prosecutor in more than 175 felony cases handling all aspects of litigation and partnered with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute criminal enterprises. Prior to his prosecutorial experience, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Peter G. Sheridan, U.S.D.J. (Ret.) of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and as Counsel to the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the United States House of Representatives’ Committee on Energy and Commerce.  He earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

In October 2023, Tyrrell's father, James E. Tyrrell, Jr., a nationally recognized trial attorney, joined Bressler's Commercial Litigation group. Schoenbrodt added, "Dan, like his father, is an exceptional trial lawyer. The father-son litigators, along with our other recent additions, share the firm's values and client service approach and will certainly be terrific assets to continue meeting the evolving needs of our clients."
