Overview
Inge Selden's practice primarily focuses on complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on defending financial institutions in state and federal courts, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings. He has represented brokerage firms nationwide against claims brought in arbitration by customers or former employees.
Throughout his 45-year career, Inge has leveraged his expertise in the financial services industry to manage hundreds of employment matters throughout the country. He has handled and tried numerous arbitrations initiated by former employees who accused their employers of wrongful termination, constructive discharge, defamation, deprivation of deferred compensation and bonuses, and unlawful discrimination. He recently won two multi-million dollar cases involving claims by former financial advisors that they were pressured to sell products that later failed (Lehman structured notes and Puerto Rico bonds) and that the resulting customer cases burned their books of business. Inge has also defended many companies and individuals in state and federal court, including securities class action litigation. Notably, he represented a major brokerage firm in a federal securities class action successfully tried in the Middle District of Tennessee.
