Overview

Mikaela Hoover is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial Transactions practice group. She specializes in trusts & estates, tax strategy, and business succession for high-net-worth individuals and families. She also advises on complex tax matters, including income, gift, and estate taxes, and optimizes tax structures for long-term efficiency. Prior to joining Bressler, she worked as a tax consultant at a top professional services firm, advising private equity and blockchain and digital asset clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and preparing various tax documents.

Mikaela is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is pending licensure in Texas and Florida. She earned her B.S., magna cum laude, in Criminal Justice at Liberty University, her J.D. from Liberty University School of Law with a concentration in Business Law, and her LL.M in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of law with a focus on Estate Planning. While earning her J.D., she served as Secretary of the Moot Court Board and competed in multiple national competitions, including the National Telecommunications & Technology Competition where she was a Semi-Finalist and won an Excellent Brief Award.
